THE COTTAGE AT BARNECHE, DOG FRIENDLY, VACATION RENTAL is in a 100 year old barn,
a bit crooked, a bit whimsical and sits on 1 1/2 acres of charming, landscaped and wooded land.
It is surrounded on three sides by the picturesque Stony Clove creek.
AMENITIES: The cottage is decorated with rustic handmade furniture, vintage lighting and
antiques. It is 400 square feet and has a single full bath and a small kitchenette, accommodating up to
three people with one king size bed and one twin size bed/couch, cable TV, wifi, guest parking right at the
cottage, stairs from cottage down to the creek and your own private swimming hole with giant river rocks,
perfect for sunbathing and quiet reflecting. Covered back and side porches look out onto the stream with
rocking chairs, benches and tables.
DOG FRIENDLY: With a full fenced in yard, we offer accommodations to those with dogs.
There is access to hiking trails within walking distance of the cottage plus NY State hiking trails within
a short driving distance.
THINGS TO DO: The cottage is located 1.5 miles from Phoenicia which offers shopping and
restaurants (Sweet Sue's, Brios, Riccardella's). We are a three minute walk from Chichester Yoga with a full,
multilevel schedule of yoga classes and bodywork spa days. Hunter Mountain and Belleayre Mountain Ski Resorts
are each just a 15 minute ride away. And of course, your host, Stephanie Barnes will happily open her
in-house studio and atelier, Barneche Design, for your shopping pleasure.
